Sir Terence Conran - Founder of the Design Museum & arguably Britain’s most influential designer
Dr Emmanuel Cooper – Arguably Britain’s most influential ceramicist
The founding directors of the Trust are
Chairman: Ann Watson – Director of Studies at U3A & a director of West Street Potters Ltd
Secretary: Tony Cohen – Chartered Architect & conservation specialist & West Street Potter for over 20 years
Ashley Howard – Head of ceramics at the University for the Creative Arts
Kathy Mason – Ceramicist and teacher of pottery
Through the Trust’s direct links to the college, the Trust has been promised active support from the following individuals and organizations:
Dr Emmanuel Cooper OBE:
Britain’s most influential potter – Visiting Professor of Ceramics and Applied Art at the Royal College of Art and editor of Ceramics Review wishes to be a patron of the Trust and has promised to offer whatever support he can.
Professor Simon Olding:
Director of the National Craft Study Centre has pledged his support and indicated that he would help with funding applications
Robert Martin:
Craft development officer of the Arts Council of Great Britain has indicated that he would advise on an application to the Arts Council for funding for the Pottery Trust
Seymour Roworth–Stokes:
Pro Rector for Research and Development at the University for the Creative Arts wishes to develop ties with the Trust as part of the College’s outreach programme with commercial organizations
Mark Hunt:
The Deputy Rector of the University for the Creative Arts has offered support for the Trust’s aims
Philip Ely:
Director of Studies (external development) at the University has been extremely supportive and is very keen to develop a joint venture to produce a range of ceramic corporate gifts
Steve Course:
Director of the Dartington Pottery has expressed an interest in developing a Farnham Pottery range and of exhibiting and possibly running the gallery space in the central atrium.
Gavin Stride:
Director of The Farnham Maltings, has offered his help and management expertise in setting up the management systems for the Pottery.

The managing director of Greyshott Pottery wishes to have a working collaboration with the pottery if the pottery was run under the new Trust. |
